Obituary for Károly (Charles) Hörcsök
Passed away peacefully on June 18, 2021 at the age of 86. Charles was born July 8, 2021 in Izsak, Hungary. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 at the time of the uprising. Charles became a Master Electrician in Hungary
and then in Canada. He founded Empire Electric through which he was able to employ and help other immigrants. He was always generous with his skills and his time. Charles was a devoted husband to Marika (nee Soros) and a loving father to Zoltan, father-in- law to Andrea (nee Koszo) and a beloved grandfather to
Alexa. Despite a 5 year struggle, he managed to make us laugh with him throughout. He had an infectious laugh that always brought out a smile in others. We will miss that most of all. On the eve of his passing there
was a brilliant sunset. Like his life, it was passing, but left a meaningful and permanent impression on those who saw it. It was beautiful. Friends are invited for a visitation on Monday, June 22, 2021 from 4 - 6:30 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church (432 Sheppard Avenue East). Interment to follow at York Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be
made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (www.alzheimer.ca). Condolences www.rskane.ca
